The Best Carbon Arrow for Value-Driven Bowhunters
You don't have to spend a fortune to shoot premium carbon arrows. The NDK Series I delivers consistency, durability, and performance at a price that makes sense. Here's why.
Being value-driven doesn't mean you settle. It means you're smart about where your money goes.
Bowhunting is an expensive sport. Between the bow, broadheads, tree stands, optics, licenses, and fuel to get to your spot — the costs add up fast. So, when it comes to arrows, spending $150 or more on a dozen before you've even proven your setup doesn't always make sense.
The good news? You don't have to. The NDK Series I exists for exactly this reason.
Let's Be Honest About What the Series I Is:
We're not going to oversell this arrow. The Series I is not the lightest arrow in our lineup — that's the Ghost. It's not the heaviest hitter — that's the Obsidian. And it's not built for extreme distance in tough wind conditions — that's the Stealth Micro.
What the Series I is, is solid. Consistently, reliably, impressively solid across every category that matters to a bowhunter.
It won't lead the pack in any single performance category. But it won't let you down in any of them either. And for the majority of bowhunting situations — whitetail inside 40 yards, elk in the timber, early season mule deer — that's exactly what you need.
A great arrow doesn't have to be elite. It has to be dependable.
What Makes It Great
The Series I punches above its weight class because it gets the fundamentals right.
Straightness: At ±.006" straightness tolerance, the Series I flies consistently from shot to shot. A large misconception is that .006 arrow shafts don't fly well. That could not be further from the truth. As a lifelong bowhunter, and archer that chooses to stretch his archery distance range consistently, there is only a small percentage of archers that can tell the difference between a .006 and .001 straightness arrow. And likely that evidence won't be seen until as far as 60 yards. There are ways to get the most performance out of a .006 arrow, and I will touch on those in a later blog. Moral of the story, don't be afraid of an .006 straightness arrow. Eliete archers are shooting them with the utmost precision.

Build quality: Full pure carbon construction means the Series I won't bend permanently when it hits a target or bounces off a rock. It's tough enough to handle the learning curve that comes with being a new bowhunter. The Series I will take about as much damage as any arrow on the market.
Versatility: Available in 300, 350, and 400 spine, the Series I covers a wide range of draw weights and setups. Whether you're shooting 45 pounds or 75, there's a Series I that fits your bow.
Value: NDK sells direct — no retail markup, no middleman. That means the price you see is the price you pay, and every dollar goes into the arrow itself.
Who the Series I Is Built For
The New Bowhunter: If you're just getting started, the Series I gives you a reliable platform to learn on. You're still dialing in your draw length, your anchor point, and your shot process. You don't need an elite arrow for that — you need a consistent one. The Series I is exactly that.
The Value-Driven Bowhunter: You've been in the game for a while. You know what you need and what you don't. As you progress and develop your skillset as a bowhunter, you fully understand what you demand of your gear. When you fully understand your gear, your efficiency goes up. No unnecessary gear, and no unnecessary spending habits. That's when you dial in the purpose of every piece of gear you own.
The Youth Hunter: The 400 spine option is ideal for younger hunters pulling lighter draw weights. It's affordable enough that losing one in the woods isn't a disaster, and tough enough to hold up through a full season of shooting.
The Practice Arrow Buyer: Even if you shoot premium arrows on the hunt, having a batch of Series I shafts for range sessions makes sense. Especially for out of season shooting, Reps are key, and mishaps happen. Consistent flight, with a fraction of the replacement cost.

Choosing the Right Spine
Spine selection is the number one question new bowhunters ask — and it's simpler than it sounds.
As a general rule, heavier draw weight requires a stiffer spine. Here's how to think about it for the Series I:
- Shooting 65–75 lbs? Go with the 300 spine.
- Shooting 55–65 lbs? The 350 is your arrow.
- Shooting 45–55 lbs, or buying for a youth hunter? The 400 is the right call.
When in doubt, go stiffer. It's better to be slightly over-spined than under-spined.

What Comes in the Box
Every Series I 6-pack of Cut and Fletch arrows includes:
- 6 carbon arrow shafts cut to your specified length

- 2.5" NDK Shield Vanes on fletched options
- X nocks installed
Everything you need to start shooting. Nothing you don't.

How Does It Compare to More Expensive Arrows?
Here's the honest answer — at distance or in tough wind conditions, a premium arrow will outperform the Series I. The Obsidian will penetrate deeper. The Ghost will fly flatter. The Stealth Micro will cut through wind better.
But inside 60-70 yards on a calm day? The gap closes significantly. And for the majority of bowhunting in North America, that's the shot you're taking.
The Series I won't hold you back from filling a tag. It's killed plenty of deer and elk in the hands of hunters who knew how to use it.
When Are You Ready to Upgrade?
The Series I is designed to be a starting point — and there's no shame in that. But as your shooting improves and your hunting adventures gets more demanding, the NDK lineup has somewhere to go.
- Want more penetration and durability for big game? Step up to the Obsidian — our flagship 5mm carbon arrow with a heavier GPI and 3K weave construction.
- Chasing speed and flat trajectory? The Ghost is your arrow. Lightweight 5mm carbon built for hunters who want a forgiving sight tape, and plenty of FOC (Front of Center) wiggle room.
- Shooting at distance or in tough wind? The Stealth Micro 4mm micro diameter arrow was built for exactly that scenario.
Start with the Series I. Shoot it, learn your setup, and build confidence. When you're ready for more, we'll be here.
